After careful deliberation and discussions with local authorities and D1NZ stakeholders, we are disappointed to announce a change in our plans for the second round of the D1NZ National Drifting Championship scheduled to be held at Kohatu Drift Park, Nelson on 24-25 February 2024.
Due to increasing fire risk in the Nelson/Tasman region and the challenges and risks this presents to maintaining high safety and environmental standards at the venue, we must regretfully postpone the event until a later date.
This decision is not taken lightly but aligns with our commitment to safety, sustainability, and host responsibility. We appreciate the inconvenience and disappointment this will cause our dedicated fans, esteemed drivers, and crew.
We are working diligently with Tasman District Council, Kohatu Park STP Kohatu drift Park, Fire and Emergency New Zealand and our commercial partners to address these challenges and will inform all ticketholders and D1NZ stakeholders of a new date for this event; once we have these details confirmed.
We look forward to hosting an event that meets our collective expectations and honours the passion and dedication of our drifting community.
