Drama in Estonia – Randalu drift team’s freshly built E46 almost burned down

Oliver Randalu—a Drift Masters full-season driver since 2021—made his first test runs with his new weapon at Raassilla race track last week. The Estonian team published a new video of the training day, in which they recorded all the adjustments and setup modifications of the newly built BMW E46.

However, there was no lack of unexpected accidents: during one of the laps, the car’s rear end caught on fire and almost burned down. Most probably, the flames from the exhaust ignited the pieces of rubber that caused the fire. Luckily, Oliver jumped out of the car quickly, and the fire was extinguished immediately. The damages have been fixed, and the team has already hit the road to Valencia for round 1 of Drift Masters 2024.

Watch part 4 of the off-season vlog to learn how the first practice session for the Randalu Drift Team went.
