Organisers of the Drift SM (or Finnish Drift Championship as we call it) have announced the rules for participating in the Drift SM Pro or PRO2 championship for the 2024 season.
SM PRO league
In the seasons 2022 and 2023 in the Drift SM series in the Pro class, the drivers collected series points;
Top 8 drivers from the SM Pro2 series;
Top 4 drivers from the national PRO series in the seasons 2022 and 2023. From the 2024 season, there should be at least three competitions in the national series;
The Driver must send an application to the person joining the sport, which the sports group accepts. The deadline is 31 March 2024 at 23:59;
The right to participate in the Pro class of the SM series is lost if you do not collect series points in any of the SM series Pro class competitions during two seasons.
SM PRO2 league
The right to participate in the Drift SM Pro2 series for the 2024 season is available to:
In the 2023 season, the drivers collected points in the Drift SM Pro2 class.
Top 4 drivers from the national PRO2 series in the seasons 2022 and 2023. From the 2024 season, there should be at least three competitions in the national series;
The Driver must send an application to the person joining the sport, which the sports group accepts. The deadline is 31 March 2024 at 23:59;
You lose the right to participate in the Pro2 class of the SM series if you do not collect series points during one season in any of the Pro2 classes of the SM series in the competition.
