Rome Charpentier took home the victory in the opening round of HotPit Autofest in Irwindale. After qualifying second, he went on to defeat Kyle Mohan in the final battle. Margaritis Katsanidis rounded out the podium in third place.

Here is the Top 32 bracket for tomorrow’s competition. After we find out who wins the Death Match battles, we will know who fills in the empty spots for our defending champion Dustyn Farrell and Formula Drift pro driver Rome Charpentier. Australian pro driver Luke Fink will be battling newcomer Alex DeArmon. Rotary legend Kyle Mohan will likely have a bye run due to Yoshiki Tani having a massive wreck during practice on Friday. Let’s hope he can get it fixed in time for the show!
